Does He Think We Are Children?

Published by theunchosen at 11:08 am under Current Events Edit This

For months and months we were told we were in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.  But guess what, there is HOPE.  I guess in the two or so months since President Obama has take office he has managed to fix our economy!  In television interviews he claims to see signs of progress.  Does he think that we are children or idiots?  He must think that we will believe everything that he says.  I wonder what he considers signs of progress.

For February, unemployment continued to rise.  According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics there were 651,000 jobs that were lost.  The unemployment rate increased to 8.1% from 7.6%.  Foreclosures were up another 6% compared to January, and up 30% from the same time last year.  That seems like progress to me.  What signs of progress is he talking about?

Maybe President Obama wasn’t talking about the economy and was talking about signs of progress in Congress.  He promised a more bi-partisan effort in Congress to achieve his agenda.  Even with most Americans opposing his stimulus package he still was able to gather enough bi-partisan support to ram that bill through.  Great job President Obama!  It was such a great effort that not one person in the Congress was able to read the entire bill before it was voted on.  When are we going to see some real leadership in Washington?  How is it that a few people in Washington control our lives, especially when they are supposed to be working for us?

I loved the videos man, i put one of them on my blog too.. I agree with you though, where is this new age of bi-partisanship he was talking about when he was running for pres? It looks like he gave up on trying to work with republicans already. What a joke, like you said all he is going to do now is steam roll right over the repubs to get his way. I can wait till 2010, so we can vote and hopefully chip away at the democratic majority in the both houses!
